Materials and inquiries
Where should I start?
Send the disputed text, a description of the task and available samples. The questions and terms of work are clarified after a preliminary assessment.
What does an authorship expert examine?
A text as a product of language and features relevant to resolving questions of authorship within the scope of specialist knowledge.
Is this handwriting examination?
No. Handwriting and signatures belong to a different field; a combined task is agreed separately.
Is a short message sufficient?
Whether an answer is possible depends on the length and nature of the text, the samples and the stability of the features. Brevity may substantially limit the finding.
What samples are needed?
Texts of established origin that are comparable in genre, time and circumstances of creation; the specific set is clarified for the task.
Can screenshots be used?
They may be used for a preliminary assessment. The completeness, legibility and origin of the materials are taken into account when resolving the task.
Does the finding identify the account owner?
Authorship of a text and control of an account are different circumstances. Examination of a digital source requires a separate task and the appropriate competence.
Can a categorical finding be guaranteed?
No. The form of the finding depends on the materials, methods and limitations identified.
What is needed for an expert report review?
The complete expert report with appendices, available source materials and questions for review.
Does a review mean a repeat examination?
No. Whether a direct examination is included and the scope of the review are determined by the assignment.
How can I find out the cost?
Preliminary analysis of a disputed text starts at 20 000 ₽. Other starting prices are shown in the price list. The scope of work, final price and timeframe are recorded in the order before work begins.
Can I pay on behalf of the client?
Yes, provided the order is identified and the Client's wishes are confirmed. Payment does not automatically confer rights to the deliverable.
Are documents issued only electronically?
No. The parties agree on paper and electronic methods of transferring the deliverable, acceptance certificate and Order Invoice.
Can I transfer other people's data?
An independent lawful basis and the necessary authority are required. The sender's consent covers their own data; unnecessary information should be concealed.
How long are inquiries and files retained?
Without a contract — no more than 90 days from the last substantive message or conversation, unless another lawful basis exists.
Can I decline analytics and advertising?
Yes. Declining analytics does not prevent an inquiry. A mailing subscription is arranged separately; a separate opt-out form is available.
